AOS Quotes

In contrast to how a child belongs in the world, adult belonging is never as natural, innocent, or playful. Adult belonging has to be chosen, received and renewed. It is a lifetime’s work.

To belong is less about being a part of something, than it is about being excluded from other things.

Our perceptions of belonging are different and are shaped with experiences over time.

Initially belonging is natural, innocent and even playful.
Over time the concept of belonging is more about choice. It is about reception and renewal.
